- Born in 1947.
- Studied biological sciences in Tübingen with the main subject of zoology (above all ethology) and the subsidiary subjects of anthropology and palaeontology.
- After the graduation learning of taxidermy during 8 month.
- Scientific trainee and limited employee at this museum in Stuttgart from 1977 till 1981.
- At thin museum as head of osteology and of anthropology (temporary) since 1983.
- As provisional head of mammalogy since 1999.
