  • Born 1960. Employed at the Natural History Museum Stuttgart since 1978, starting with a 4-year training and afterwards in charge of the preparation of Quarternary mammals.
  • Since the palaeontological department moved into the new building, I have been applied for various fields, including excavation of large mammals, skeleton mounting, preparation of Devonian and Triassic invertebrates as well as Triassic amphibians and reptiles.
  • Experience in the following techniques: airbrasive, acid preparation, mechanical techniques, specialized in casting techniques for restoring vertebrate finds and the mechanical preparation of tiny items.

Specimen now on display, prepared from both sides, with minor restorations indicated in colour. These were produced by making a mirror-image transposition from the natural negative.

Eschenauskelett: Preparation of a completely preserved skeleton of a new Triassic amphibian genus. Recovered from deposits in the Lower Keuper by a private collector in 2000. In order to preserve the skeleton in context it has been set in plaster in situ.
