  • Born in 1958 in Schorndorf.
  • Employed at the Natural History Museum Stuttgart, starting with a 4-year training.
  • Since 1977 palaeontological preparator in the department of Palaeontology.

Field of activities:

  • Salvage and preparation of fossil vertebrates, invertebrates and plants.
  • Since 1993 focus on the preparation of fossils from the Nusplingen Lithographic Limestone.
  • Organization of a large collection of silicified fossils from the Upper Jurassic coralliferous limestones of Württemberg.
  • restoration of fossils threatened to crumble (decay of markasite).
  • Production of mock-ups, casts and models of invertebrate fossils.
  • Reconstruction of fossil biotopes (true-to-life models).
