  • Scientific assistant at the State Museum of Natural History in Stuttgart. Co-Author of 'Die Farn- und Blütenpflanzen Baden-Württembergs'.

  • Ph.D. at the Karlsruhe University with the Ph.D. thesis 'Phytosociological studies in Hohenlohe'.
  • 1988:
  • Floristic mapping of the mosses and liverworts of Baden-Württemberg by order of the 'Landesanstalt für Umweltschutz' (State Institution for the Protection of the Environment).

  • Curator of Bryology at the State Museum of Natural History in Stuttgart. Lecturer at the University of Tübingen and at the School of Forestry at Rottenburg.
